Innovation is expressed in ZETA AMALTEA strategy, fostering creativity, cross sectional use of technologies and ideas sharing.

ZETA AMALTEA acts in innovation circuits, taking part in work groups, collaborating with technological and research centres and developing R&D projects.

ZETA AMALTEA participated in the creation of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of River Ebro Basin

ZETA AMALTEA is working, together with the University of Zaragoza, the high-tech company GeoSlab and the University of Valencia, in the development of an information system for water and environment (SISMA), a working platform based on advanced management of geo-data and support to decision making systems.

This system is composed by a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) that houses diverse subjects and contents that can be accessed through semantic and geographic searches or a catalogue.

It includes links to different software, own and commercial, information processors, cartographic databases, land digital models and images (ortophotos, photos, satellite images, etc.), a metadata automatic system and visualization technology.

Furthermore, it includes maps and reports servers and other items that facilitate knowledge management.

SISMA project is being developed by ZETA AMALTEA together with GeoSLab and the Universities of Zaragoza and Valencia.
